Grassfields Inn - Come enjoy a Day at the Farm!

If you want to experience a day or two on a real working organic dairy farm, Grassfields Inn is the place for you! Get up early to milk cows with Farmer Luke. Come in for a wholesome country breakfast before continuing your day with cheese making with Farmer Jesse and chicken chores with Farmer Jay. End your day by enjoying a down home cooked supper.

Three Packages are available, based on double occupancy. The main bedroom available has a double and a single bed, and a second room is available upon request. Reservations are required at least one week in advance. Reservations are available for Monday through Friday nights (no Saturday or Sunday nights). Check-in and check-out times depend on the package you chose.

Package A: One night with a 1/2 hour to 1 hour tour of the farm and breakfast. Cost: $90 + tax.

Package B: One night with breakfast, 1/2 - 1 hour of milking, 1 - 2 hours of cheese making, and chicken chores. Cost: $130 ($30 more for the second person to join in) + tax.

Package C: Two nights and breakfasts, one full milking, one full cheese making session, and chicken chores. Cost: $270 ($60 more for the second person to join in) + tax.

Farm gear is not provided.

BREAKFAST Menu:
1-2 fresh farm eggs (over-easy or scrambled), bacon or sausage, toast, cereal and milk.

SUPPER Menu: $8 per person and you must order it at reservation or at least 5 days in advance. The ingredients (as much as we can) are from our farm.
A) Raclette style potatoes, smoky links, vegetables and desert.
B) Meatloaf, vegetable, potato salad, and desert.
C) Chicken and Rice, vegetable, salad, and desert.
D) Homemade macaroni and farm cheese, vegetable, and desert.

LUNCH is on your own. A grill is available upon special request if you want to make your own lunch. There is also a good variety of farm meats and other foods available for purchase at our on-farm retail store.
Otherwise, there are several restaurants within minutes of the farm in Coopersville and Allendale. Click on the town names to see a list of restaurants.

Cancellation Policy: Since we are a small business, last minute cancellations affect us greatly, therefore we ask for your understanding when we must adhere to the following policy:
-Cancellations made 7 or more days in advance of reserved night will have a refund minus a $25 fee.
-No refund for cancellations made 6 days or fewer in advance of reserved night.

Pet Policy:
Unfortunately, we cannot usually accommodate pets; but we may be able to specially arrange something at reservation time if absolutely necessary.
